Buying gear at stokd.surf
Who am I buying from?
Stok'd is a marketplace. Each product is sold and shipped directly by an independent shop — the maker of that gear. The shop is the seller of your order: they make it, pack it, ship it, set their own shipping times, and handle returns and exchanges for their products. Stok'd runs the storefront, processes payment securely, and is here to help if anything goes sideways. Every product page and your order emails show which shop you're buying from.
How do payments work? Is it secure?
Checkout is processed by Stripe — a leading payments provider. Stok'd
never sees or stores your card number. Your card statement will show “Stok'd.”
You'll get two emails at checkout: an itemized order confirmation from
orders@stokd.surf and a payment receipt from Stripe.
When will my order ship? How do I track it?
Each shop lists an estimated ship window on the product page and in your confirmation email (for example, “ships in 15–25 days”) — many items are made to order. When your order ships, you'll get an email with tracking. You can also check status anytime at stokd.surf/order using your order number and the email you checked out with.
I need to change my address, cancel, or return something.
Email support@stokd.surf with your order number as soon as possible, or simply reply to your order confirmation — it reaches the shop. Because each shop makes and ships its own goods, return and exchange terms are set by that shop; we'll help coordinate a change, cancellation, refund, or return with them. If an order hasn't shipped yet, we can usually still catch it.
Something's wrong with what I received.
We're sorry — email support@stokd.surf with your order number and a photo if it's a quality or wrong‑item issue, and we'll make it right with the shop.
Using the Stok'd forecast app
What does the 20–100 score mean?
Each spot gets a single surf score that blends swell direction, swell energy (size and period), wind cleanliness, and tide against that break's ideal conditions. Higher is better — roughly: 85+ is excellent (“Stok'd”), 68+ is good, the 50s–60s are fair, and below that is poor. Scores reflect the exact time you've dialed in on the TOP CALL time wheel and day picker at the top of the home screen.
How accurate are the forecasts?
Surf, swell, tide, and wind values are model estimates from national weather and ocean services. They're a planning aid, not a guarantee — conditions can change quickly, and local knowledge always wins. Please never treat the app as a substitute for lifeguard guidance, posted beach closures, or your own judgment in the water.
Where does the data come from?
Marine and weather data is provided by Open‑Meteo and the underlying national weather services; U.S. tide predictions come from NOAA Tides & Currents; ZIP‑code lookup uses Zippopotam.us. Each spot card lists its sources and how recently they updated.
Do I need an account or to share my location?
To browse forecasts, no — Stok'd works with no sign‑in, and location is optional (it's only used on your device to sort spots by distance, never sold or shared). To buy from the shop you'll provide a shipping address and email so we can deliver and update your order. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Can I customize how spots are scored?
Yes — the Tune tab lets you weight what matters most to you (swell direction, energy, wind, tide, period), and those weights apply across every spot.
It says “Offline,” the data looks stale, or a spot is missing.
The “Offline” chip means the app couldn't reach the live feeds and is showing the last data it had — check your connection and tap refresh. Want a spot added? Email us the spot name and location and we'll look into it.
